The Kentucky Department of Agriculture (KDS) office of the State Veterinarian is excited to be hosting a Cervid Chronic Wasting Disease Surveillance Identification (CCWDSI) training for all program participants! Our goal is to train and/or refresh our producers with regulatory requirements and program procedures. If you know someone who is interested in program participation, this would be a perfect opportunity for them to find out how everything works!
The training will cover both programs, Herd Certified Program (HCP) and Herd Monitoring Program (HMP). We will cover areas such as the initial application process, renewals, record keeping, animal identification, transport guidelines, sample submission, and testing requirements, etc.
KDA is offering the following dates and locations:
KDA Requests that everyone be prompt so that we can stay on schedule. This training is not mandatory, but strongly encouraged. You may attend any training or all three if you so choose. Please let KDA know which training(s) you plan to attend so we are able to have adequate space available.
Please contact Kelsey Ruble at (502) 782-5902 or email firstname.lastname@example.org . We look forward to meeting you and hopefully provide you with some helpful information.
